Stacy Brown-Philpot is the CEO of TaskRabbit and a member of the Board of Directors of HP Inc and Nordstrom.
She is one of the Black women in tech making a difference. She started out at Google and moved on to other organizations.
She is an example that success lies within an individual and not the job.
She reminds us that "intangibles" like having the right mindset is more important for career success than the "tangibles" like the perfect credentials, right interview response, or best /worst boss. None of these define us and neither should our job descriptions.
Over the years I've found that doing everything "right" is less important than deciding what to do from the right mindset.
The place from where we make our decisions is so much more important than the decisions themselves.
