Issue 72: Why you are still overlooked - Are you strategically significant

Issue 72: Why you're working harder and still overlooked.

One of the fastest ways to stall your career is to be seen as busy, but not strategically significant.

Here’s what I mean:

  • Operationally significant leaders keep things running. They’re dependable, but often overlooked when opportunities arise. They’re not top of mind.

  • Strategically significant leaders are recognized as advancing what matters most to the organization. They’re trusted, visible, and invited into the rooms where the important decisions are made.

Think about that for a quick second. If you’re being honest with yourself, how strategically significant are you right now? Take a moment to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5:

  • What would your senior leaders, peers, or clients have to say?

This question matters because, as you know at this stage in your career, recognition and advancement don’t come from effort alone or from shmoozing  - they come from being seen as essential to the bigger picture.

If this resonates and you want to learn how to go from relatively invisible or just operationally significant to strategically significant, join my next free live training:

How to get the recognition and advancement you deserve
October 15, 4pm PT / 7pm ET

In this live 45-minute session, you’ll learn:

  • Why working harder isn’t enough to be seen and valued  - and the hidden cost of staying in that cycle

  • The real reasons leaders feel stalled, stuck, and invisible in their careers

  • A clear path to building confidence, clarity, and momentum without putting in more effort than you are now (probably less)

Reserve your seat by clicking here.

?? Reflection question: Where are you still showing up as operationally significant instead of strategically significant?

Even if you feel on top of your game at work, are you showing up as strategically significant everywhere? This session will make sure you do.

Go out there and lead,

Asia

P.S. After the training, I’ll open the doors to my new 12-month Recognition & Advancement Program. It's designed for ambitious leaders who want to be recognized, valued, and promoted without burning out or selling their souls.

In the first 90 days, we’ll focus on:

  • Building influence

  • Positioning yourself and your team as essential

  • Speeding up access to immediate opportunities

This program is intentionally accessibly priced, because career ownership is one of the best forms of resistance when it feels like some would have the world shut down around you.

Enrollment is $299/month for 12 months  - or you can choose a pay-in-full discount of $2,500 for this enrollment period. That includes a full year of structured leadership protocols, strategic support, and access to high-level coaching.
