Issue 1: Cultivating A High-Level Vision

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Welcome to our first edition!

I am so grateful that today, as we honor Martin Luther King Jr., we launch the first edition of the Skip-Level Strategies Newsletter!!

In the spirit of MLK's visionary leadership, our focus for this first issue is on "Cultivating a High-Level Vision."

Martin Luther King Jr.'s leadership was grounded in a profound vision for change that we continue to work toward today. Similarly, as a leader, cultivating a vision that goes beyond the here and now is crucial for impactful leadership.

Take on this week's strategy to begin to craft your own vision.

5-MINUTE STRATEGY

1. Reflect on your leadership goals. What 'dream' do you have for your role, team, or organization?

2. Write down how your daily actions contribute to this larger vision.

3. Identify one step you can take this week to move closer to realizing this dream, even if the entire path isn't clear.

Just as MLK's vision inspired a movement, your vision can inspire and drive change in your organization. Starting with a clear vision, even when you can't yet see the entire path, sets the foundation for realizing something magnificent.

Next week's preview

Stay tuned for next week's issue, "Effective Communication for Senior Leaders," crucial for articulating and sharing your vision effectively.

Have a wonderful Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and I'll see you next week!
