Today, we revisit the classic decision-making tool: the Pros and Cons List. While simple, it is one of the most effective frameworks for quickly assessing the benefits and drawbacks of a decision. Sometimes, the simple solution is the best!

5-MINUTE STRATEGY

• Draw a line down the middle of a piece of paper to create two columns. Label one "Pros" and the other "Cons."

• Think of the decision you're facing and list all the positive outcomes or benefits in the Pros column.

• In the Cons column, list all the negative outcomes or drawbacks.

• Review both lists. Be sure to consider the weight and impact of each pro and con, not just the number of items listed.

• Make your decision based on which list aligns more closely with your values, goals, and the outcomes you're willing to accept.

Why this matters: The Pros and Cons list helps clarify your thoughts and priorities by quickly mapping out the possible positive and negative outcomes of a decision. It’s a straightforward way to weigh your options and make more informed choices.
